Architrave beads give a shadow line decorative effect for aesthetic purposes and creates a clean division between varying wall finishes eg. at wall and ceiling abutments or door and window reveals and other built in joinery features.
The wing gives an ideal mechanical key for plaster and is easily fixed by using plaster dabs applied to the wall at 600mm spacing and the wing of the bead pressed into the plaster dabs to plumb or level the bead. When cutting is required this should be carried out by using a fine toothed hacksaw on the solid metal and tinsnips on the mesh wing.

Fixed wither by nailing or using plaster dabs.
